Reserve Materials:

Faculty members place materials (books articles, videos, etc.) on Reserve for their students. These materials are kept behind the Circulation Desk and may be checked out by students. Reserve materials are arranged according to course number and instructor’s last name.

Fines:

  • Reserve materials and videos accrue fines at a rate of 25¢ per day, up to a maximum of $2.00 per item.
  • Fines in excess of $10 will suspend borrowing privileges.
  • Items overdue for 28 days will result in a hold being placed on the student's record.
  • Students are responsible for the cost of a lost or damaged item. Library staff will determine if payment is required for a damaged MWCC item.
Holds and Recalls:

If an item is currently checked out by another patron, a hold may be placed on the item. Library users may also place holds on available materials from other libraries through the online library catalog. Please ask for more information at the circulation desk.

If an item that you have checked out is required by another user, you may not renew the item, and a notice of recall will be initiated. Failure to return a recall item within 7 days of the recall date will result in a hold on the student's record.
