Circulation: Fines
Overdue & Lost Library Materials for Students
- Overdue MWCC materials accrue fines at 5¢ per day, with a maximum fine of $2.00 per item.
- Materials from the Reserve collection accrue fines of 25¢ per day, with a maximum of $2.00 per item.
- MWCC library materials that are overdue for 28 days will be billed for a replacement cost. A block will be placed on your student record. For more information see the Borrowing Policies.
- Payment for lost items will incur an additional $10.00 processing fee.
Overdue & Lost Library Materials for Faculty & Staff
- Faculty and staff do not accrue fines for MWCC items. Overdue items from other libraries accrue fines.
- Faculty and staff will be held responsible for lost or damaged items. Library staff will determine if payment is required for a damaged MWCC item.
Overdue & Lost Library Materials for Community Users
- Overdue MWCC items accrue late fees at 10¢ per day, up to a maximum of $3.00 per item.
- MWCC library materials that are overdue for 21 days will be billed for a replacement cost.
- Library users will be held responsible for lost or damaged items. Library staff will determine if payment is required for a damaged MWCC item..
- Payment for lost items will incur an additional $10.00 processing fee.
