Research Starter Toolkit

This guide will help you learn how to use library resources in order to complete your research. Here you will learn how to access library databases, journal articles, books, and more.

Finding Books

The library catalog is your online gateway to our book collection. You can use the catalog to locate and borrow books for your research (or pleasure!). You can also use the catalog to request books from other libraries and have them delivered to you at MWCC.

You will want to be able to find and use books in your research as they will provide you with in-depth, scholarly information on your topic. Unlike articles, books are useful for detailed background information on your topic, as well as analysis.

Watch the video bellow for a tutorial on how to:

  • Access the library catalog from the library's website
  • Search the catalog for books and other materials
  • Log into your library account and request materials from MWCC and other libraries
