Add links as assets rather than in the rich text/html (in-text links) when possible
For lengthier content or event announcements, consider making a Blog post
Try to follow the 5-5-5 rule, when possible. 5 Side Menu topics, with 5 boxes in each subject maximum, each with 5 content items. Note this is not always possible, but try for less if you can.
Existing content on the MWCC Library Website should be directly linked to or mapped from the original content item. This allows for outdated content to be updated in one place, and updates can happen across many LibGuides after 1 edit.
Links, Boxes, Databases, Widgets, Documents, and more are all examples of content that should be reused, try not to duplicate.
If you need help finding existing content, or if you need help mapping content, email Rebecca Schmidt at rschmidt1@mwcc.mass.edu (Electronic Resources, Instruction and Research Librarian).
A LibGuide title is the title of the whole guide (for example, this LibGuide's name is MWCC Learning Commons Style Guide). A page title is just the page you are on from the side navigation menu (for example, right now you are on Style Guidelines).
Titles for Library Subject Guides should start with the course abbreviation.
Titles for Learning Success Center Guides (other than the main landing page) should all start with LSC.
All other guides (not Library or LSC specific) can follow your best judgement for naming, such as temporary page on a specific topic like Banned Books Week.
LSC: Writing (good)
BIO 101: Nutrition (good)
Math (missing course number)
Banned Books Week (good)
Find Resources (good)
